When I heard that Tim Allen would be returning to Disney to do a miniseries addition to The Santa Clause trilogy, I was ecstatic and couldn't wait. Tim Allen brought Santa Claus to life for me as a child. Not that I ever stopped believing in Santa Claus, but the movies helped keep that spirit alive. Why do I keep on believing in someone that most people stop believing in? Because, I have seen Santa Claus first hand. It's true, and I know that's hard to believe. However, it all started when I woke up one morning and looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled at myself and said, "Good morning, Santa Claus."
Now I know what you're thinking..."this guy is a nutter." Hold on and I'll explain. Yes, Santa Claus derived from the good Saint Nick who would fill children's shoes with food, treats, and toys. However, Saint Nicholas didn't ask to be Santa Claus. Santa Claus was a made up person who lives in the North Pole and delivers the ideology that Saint Nicholas possessed. An ideology of bringing good will and good cheer to everyone. That ideology exists in all people, and each and every one of us can become Santa Claus.
Santa Claus lives within me and my family. We share the love and joy and have fun bringing the Christmas spirit to others. I grew up realizing that I can be Santa Claus, not just for one day a year, but all year long. Even though Tim Allen as Santa Claus has some good magic tricks up his sleeve, so do I.
